I just got finished posting the 2017 Phillies schedule and I thought I would share a few interesting notes:
The Phillies begin the season with a road-heavy schedule. After an even split of home and road games in April, the Phils play 32 road games in May and June against 23 games at home. They make up for it in July with 17 games at CBP and just 8 road contests.
Their longest road trip is a 10-gamer from September 1-10.
Their longest homestand is also 10 games, from September 12-21, and it happens to come directly after their longest road trip.
Their toughest stretch on the road comes from August 1-20 when they play 15 of 19 games away from home.
If the Phillies are somehow in a pennant race, they have an extremely favorable schedule: from September 12 'til the end of the season on October 1, they play 16 of 19 games at Citizens Bank Park.
Here is their interleague schedule:
Mariners: May 9 and 10 (home) and June 27-28 (road)
Rangers: May 16 – 18 (road)
Red Sox home and home series: June 12-13 (home) and June 14-15 (road)
Astros: July 24-26 (home)
Angels: Aug 1-3 (road)
And finally, if the Phillies aren't playing for the postseason, they might have something to say about who wins the NL East. Their final two series come against the Nats and Mets at home - the Phils finish up with a three game set against the Mets.comments powered by Disqus
